Quick Start
1 Download & Install
Download from the download page. Run the installer or use the portable version.
2 Activate
Enter your license key or sign in with your browser to start your free trial.
3 Connect
Share your Device ID and OTP with the person connecting to you, or enter theirs to connect.
Windows SmartScreen Warning
DeskUltra is not yet signed with an EV (Extended Validation) code signing certificate. Windows and your browser may show security warnings when downloading or running the app.
Browser: If the download is blocked, click the ⋮ menu or arrow next to the warning → "Keep" or "Keep anyway".
SmartScreen: Click "More info" → "Run anyway".
Why? EV code signing certificates require a hardware token and cost $400-600/year. We're in the process of obtaining one to eliminate this warning.

Security
End-to-End Encryption — ECDH P-256 key exchange + AES-256-GCM. Relay cannot decrypt.
MITM Protection — ECDH keys signed with device identity keys. Relay cannot substitute keys.
Perfect Forward Secrecy — Ephemeral keys per session. Past sessions can't be decrypted.
HKDF Key Derivation — RFC 5869 compliant key derivation with protocol-specific salt.
